What are "self care" products?

Our definition of self care products is simple—products that make you feel good and are good for you. Each of our boxes contain an assortment of beauty products (soap, facial oil, etc.), teas, dried flowers, and face masks. Most importantly, each box has dark chocolate.

How sustainable is the packaging?

Every Calma pouch and label is 100% at-home compostable and our shipping materials are completely compostable or recyclable (including the shipping label!). All of our brand partners use earth-friendly packaging that is either recyclable or reusable. If you have any questions or suggestions, email us at

Is the box allergy-friendly?

Each box is personalized, so we only deliver products that are safe for you. All of our teas are allergen-free, with the exception of our Hibiscus tea (hibiscus is often farmed with peanuts). We also provide an alternative dark chocolate that is produced in an allergen-free facility. You can let us know about your allergies in your account questionnaire. 

Can I gift the box?

Yes! Many people expressed interest in giving the box as a gift, so you can now buy each season's box without a subscription. You can gift a box here. 

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes, you can cancel anytime. We never want to send you products you don't want, so we'll send you an email reminding you when you will be charged again.

Why every three months?

Our goal is to create the smallest impact on the world as possible. Shipping every three months provides a lighter footprint and creates less waste by giving you time to actually use the products before receiving new ones. Each product is full-size and should last you the full season. 

Isn't shipping bad for the environment?

Unfortunately, shipping has a huge impact on the environment. To counteract that, we purchase carbon offsets for every shipment. It's an imperfect solution, but it's the best we can offer at the moment. 

What types of brands do you work with?

We work exclusively with independent makers around the US that share our values and mission. We're proud to say that each of our brands is woman-owned or has a female co-founder. We believe that where you spend your money has a huge impact on the world, so we only work with brands that you can feel good about supporting. If there are any brands you'd like to see in our box, let us know!

Are your products vegan?

All of our products are currently plant-based, but in the future we may provide products containing ethically-sourced ingredients such as beeswax, lanolin, or goat's milk. If you're vegan and/or prefer not to receive any animal byproducts, just let us know and you'll receive exclusively plant-based items. 

Do you offer returns/exchanges?

Due to the nature of our products, we do not offer exchanges or returns at this time. However, if there is an issue with your purchase please contact us so we can find a solution. We love feedback and want to ensure you have a good experience with us. 

If an item has arrived damaged in any way, please email us at with photos of the product, packaging, and shipping label within 48 hours upon receipt so that we can help make it right!
